The Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) is a rapid transit system serving the San Francisco Bay Area. The system serves 48 stations over seven lines, running across the whole bay area. It started service on September 11, 1972 with the Fremont-Oakland line.
Future Extensions Edit
BART is currently building an extension from Fremont to Santa Clara via San Jose and Milpitas, scheduled to open somewhere in 2020. The board of directors shot down an idea for an extension to Livermore, but the idea isn't completely off the table, according to BART.
